Review & Swatches: Fame Palette by ColourPop

Hey guys! Happy Friday! Who’s ready for the weekend? I know I am!

Ok last day of my ColourPop palette marathon! Today I’ll be covering the Fame palette. I picked this palette up at Ulta a couple weeks ago as I has a 20% off coupon and a $10 gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

So let’s just jump right into it!

The Fame palette retails for $23 and contains 16 shadows in a mix of matte, satin and metallic finishes. This is actually a more cool tone palette. I know… wait… what am I doing with a cool tone palette? If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know I LOVE my warm tones and I usually avoid cooler palettes. But this one is different. They’re not your run of the mill cool tones. And that’s another reason why I love ColourPop. They’ll take something “bland/basic” and turn it on its head and make it something new. And that’s why this palette caught my eye and decided to add it to my collection.

The shades in this palette are:

  • Center Stage: soft matte cream
  • Extravaganza: metallic cool champagne
  • Show Boat: satin icy pink cream
  • Delirium: soft matte beige
  • The Most: metallic icy rose
  • Razzle: matte rosy taupe
  • Dazzle: metallic iced taupe
  • Stardom: matte mauve
  • Celeb: matte soft lilac
  • Debutante: metallic silvery lilac
  • Clubhouse: matte greige plum
  • Privy: metallic silvery taupe
  • Posh: metallic smokey pinky plum
  • Blasé: matte gunmetal
  • Piece of Me: satin deep amethyst
  • Lifestyle: matte smoked aubergine

As I mentioned before, I love my warm tones. Cool tones usually make me look washed out and people ask if I’m sick or something. But the shades in this palette don’t do that, which was a pleasant surprise. Some of the shades are more on the neutral side than pulling cool, which I think helps.

The shadows are what you expect from ColourPop’s pressed shadow formula. They’re soft, buttery and pigmented. A couple of the mattes swatch a little patchy, but that doesn’t affect how they perform on the eyes. They all apply and blend out really nicely. This is really a great everyday palette.

So how about those swatches?

L-R: Center Stage, Extravaganza, Show Boat, Delirium

L-R: The Most, Razzle, Dazzle, Stardom

L-R: Celeb, Debutante, Clubhouse, Privy

L-R: Posh, Blasé, Piece of Me, Lifestyle

If you’re like me and usually avoid cool tones, I suggest giving the Fame palette a try as it might surprise you like it did me. I’m glad I have this palette in my collection and have already gotten a lot of use out of it.

Ok that should do it! Do you like cool tones or prefer warm tones? Do you own this palette it? Is it on your wishlist?

As always, thank you all so much for reading! I’m so glad to be back after all the stress from moving. I hope you have a fantabulous weekend and I’ll see you again soon in my next post! Love you guys!
