Hey guys! How’s it going?
Well, the empties basket has filled up once again and I thought I better get an empties post up before it starts overflowing like it usually does. I am going to try to be better about that this year.
Well, I still had a lot of stuff and decided to split this into two posts – one for skincare & hair care and one for makeup. Today’s post is going to focus on the former and the latter will be up later this week.
You ready? Let’s get going!
The Creme Shop Hello Kitty Tea Time Sheet Masks
How cute is this box? I got these at TJ Maxx. They had a bunch of other Sanrio character sheet masks as well (My Melody, Keroppi, Badtz Maru & a couple other Hello Kitty ones). These sheet masks were infused with black tea (rich in antioxidants) and collagen (wrinkle reducer). I was kind of disappointed the masks themselves didn’t look like Hello Kitty. Instead it just had some little Hello Kitty related graphics and “Hello Kitty” written on it. These came in a pack of 3, which is less than the usual 5 packs masks from The Creme Shop usually come in. These masks were nice, but nothing overly special. My skin felt soft and hydrated after using them and they didn’t break me out. I’ve had good luck with masks from The Creme Shop and will definitely buy more in the future.
Epielle Green Tea Makeup Wipes
Yeah you know these. I use them all the time and they’re still my favorite makeup wipes because they’re so inexpensive, do the job and don’t break me out.
Aquation Daily Moisturizing Lotion
I got this in a box from Influenster at the end of 2017. I hardly ever finish up body lotion, so it really says something that I was able to use this up. I really liked this a lot. It didn’t really have a scent, which was nice. I loved the gel consistency it has as it allows it to absorb into the skin quickly, but gives really good hydration, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky. I have some other body lotions I need to get through, but when I do, if this is still being made, I’ll probably buy a bottle.
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb
This was my 2nd jar of this moisturizer. I really loved it a lot and a little goes a long way (I bout this jar in the middle of June and it lasted me until the end of December). I love how it absorbed into my skin quickly and helped control oil while also providing hydration. But… it’s expensive! This jar costs $38 US for 1.68 fl oz. For Christmas, my boyfriend got me the Clinique Dramatically Different Gel moisturizer and you get like 4.2 fl oz for $28 US… that’s more than 3 times the product of the Belif for $10 less! And the Clinique works just as well. So… sorry Belif. I love you dearly, but my wallet sadly does not.
Boots Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner
I picked this up at Ulta as I was looking for a new toner to try. I liked it. It did a good job removing any excess dirt/oil/makeup after I washed my face in the morning. And it didn’t break me out. I’d probably buy this again sometime. Right now though I’m really liking the L’arvore hyaluronic toner.
Hask Argan Oil 5-in-1 Leave-In Spray
I love this stuff and have gone through multiple bottles. This is a great multi-tasker and it smells really good too. It detangles, provides heat protection, helps tame frizz, adds shine & helps prevent breakage. I use it on both my normal hair and my clip-in extensions. I like stocking up when Ulta has Hask BOGO Free or BOGO 50% off.
Garnier Fructics Volume Hairspray & Anti-Humidity Smoothing Milk
I’ve been a fan of these Garnier hairsprays for awhile, but I think my hair has gotten too used to them or something because this last can didn’t seem to do much for me. It was ok but not as good as I remember. So I’ve been experimenting with other brands of hairspray.
The smoothing milk…. this is a staple in my hair care routine. I use it pretty much every day. You can use it on wet hair or dry. It really helps keep frizz under control while also providing some heat protection. I’ll repurchase this until they stop making it. And they better not stop making it!
Pantene Air Spray Hairspray
I’ve gone through a few cans of this. It’s a pretty good hairspray. I like that it’s alcohol-free, so it doesn’t dry out my hair like some hairsprays can. It also doesn’t make my hair feel stiff or crunchy and does a pretty good job holding my style in place. It also helps fight humidity, which a must for me here in Florida.
And that does it for the skincare and hair care! Part 2 featuring makeup will be up on here in a few days.
As always, thank you all so much for reading and your support! I’ll see you again soon in my next post!
