Hey guys! How’s it going?
Today I’m going to share with you my top 5 favorite products from Makeup Revolution. This is a brand that has become one of my favorites since Ulta started carrying them a couple years ago. They have some really great products at affordable prices (pretty much nothing over $15), including basically dupes of some well-known high end products. They’re also a cruelty-free brand, which always gets bonus points.
So which 5 products are my absolute favorite? Keep on reading…
These are in no particular order.
Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray – $8.00
This is probably my favorite setting spray. To me this works just as well as high end setting sprays like the ones from Urban Decay. You get a good amount of product for the price you pay (3.38 oz, compared to 4 oz for Urban Decay, which retails for $31). It feels good when you spray it on your face and it sprays out pretty well across the face too (not too much, not too little). My original review can be read here.
Girls On Film Salvation Eyeshadow Palette – $10.00
I’ll be the first to admit that I initially bought this palette just for the name (if you new to my blog, I’ve been a huge fan of Duran Duran for well over 30 years). But the quality of this palette is surprisingly good. It has nice, sturdy plastic packaging with a huge mirror inside, and contains 18 shadows (12 shimmer, 8 matte). And the quality of the shadows themselves are quite nice. The shimmers have good pigmentation. The mattes swatch weird, but apply to the eyes just fine. You can read my original review of this palette and see swatches here.
The Matte Blush in Nude – $5.00
The Matte Blush line are probably some of the best drugstore blushes out there. The shade Nude is the perfect everyday shade (I also own the shade Fusion, which is a vivid pink-red). For just being $5, the pan is HUGE. And these blushes are PIGMENTED. You barely have to tap your brush in the pan, so a light hand is needed or you can easily go overboard. You can read my original review here.
Vivid Baked Highlighters – $6.00
These have been popular since they came out and still are now. There were originally just 3 shades, but now there are 5 shades available. I own the shades Peach Lights (peach) and radiant Lights (a kind of pinky-lavender). You can apply them lightly for a subtle glow or build them up if you like the “walking disco ball” look. You can read my original review here.
New-Trals vs Neutrals Palette – $12.00
There’s been a lot of buzz recently with then announcement of the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. Well… here’s an affordable option! This palette contains 16 shadows that are a mix of warm and neutral tones and a variety of finishes (matte, satin, shimmer & glitter). Again, very good pigmentation and the shades in this palette are all super gorgeous. I started playing with this one again recently and pretty much fell in love with it all over again. You can read my original review and see swatches here.
And that does it! In the US, you can find Makeup Revolution at Ulta. In the UK, you can find them at Superdrug. They also have a website (www.tambeauty.com) that has ALL their products, including those not usually found in-store (as well as from their sister brands Freedom Beauty, I *Heart* Makeup and Makeup Obsession) and they ship all across the globe!
Have you ever tried anything from Makeup Revolution?
As always, thank you all so much for reading and your support. Love you guys! I’ll see you again soon with a new post!
