Hey guys! How was your weekend? Do anything fun?
I went to the local Hard Rock Casino with my boyfriend to just hang out, have some dinner & drinks, people watch… and I actually won a little money playing the slot machines!
Anyhow, today’s post is going to be all about my favorites for the month of June! I don’t know about you but I love favorites posts (both writing and reading them). So grab yourself a nice, cold beverage and a tasty treat and let’s get the party started!
Elf Instant Lift Brow Pencil
I’ve been using pretty much only this pencil on my brows all month. It really is good. I use the shade Neutral Brown and it’s a perfect match for my brows. It has great pigmentation and makes my brows look natural and not drawn on. And even though it doesn’t claim to be waterproof, it stays on all day and I haven’t sweat it off either. I do wish the pencil was a little thinner, but I still love it regardless. And it only costs $2! What?! I just purchased a backup as I know I’ll be using the one I have up pretty fast.
Lip Combo – Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita + NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Natural
I have a love-hate relationship with liquid lipsticks. I love the colors and pigmentation of them, but some formulas are so freaking drying to me and sometimes a matte finish makes my lips look wrinkly and weird even if it’s a less-drying formula. Well, I found a solution I currently am loving. After applying a liquid lippie, I’ll top it off with a lipgloss in a similar shade. It doesn’t alter the color of the liquid lipstick and it makes my lips look more hydrated and fuller. My current favorite lip combo doing this is Kat Von D’s infamous Lolita with the NYX Mega Shine gloss in Natural. I just love how they look together.
Essence Make Me Brow
This is a newer purchase, but I love it already. I’d heard a bit about this product on YouTube and decided to check it out for myself. Some have said this is basically a dupe for the Benefit Gimme Brow (which I’ve never tried but have heard good things about). It’s basically a brow mascara that has little fibers that cling to your brow hair to make your brows look fuller. I comb this through my brows after I use the ELF brow pencil to set everything and I love how it works! I also love that it’s only $3.99!
Sedona Lace 35 Color Intensely Warm Palette
This is another newer purchase, but I’ve been using it almost every day in some capacity since I got it. The colors in this palette are so gorgeous and pigmented (you can see my review & swatches here if you missed it). I can see why this palette gets so much hype (it’s actually the exact same palette as the insanely popular Morphe 35O).
Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate
Ok. Yeah. I splurged and actually purchased a full size of this. But in my defense, I had a gift card to use toward it, so technically I didn’t pay full price (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!). I really liked this foundation when I got a sample of it earlier this year. This time though I got a shade that matched me better (the sample I got was just a hair too light). The coverage is ridiculous, but it feels lightweight on my skin. It blends out beautifully with a damp Beauty Blender and makes my skin look flawless. And it lasts all day on me too.
Hask Kalahari Melon Oil Shampoo & Conditioner
These were sent to me by Hask to try and review and I ended up really liking them a lot. They do a great job cleaning/conditioning my hair while helping preventing the color from fading… and they smell amazing too! You can read my full review of these products here.
Charlotte LaCroix Renewal Eye Cream
This was another product that was sent to me as PR but I ended up really liking it and have been using it pretty much every day. It does a great job hydrating my eye area and helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles as a result. I also love that it comes with a pump so I can control how much I dispense easier.
I have one non-beauty favorite this month and it might seem a little weird because…. it’s a roller coaster. Busch gardens Tampa recently opened their newest coaster, Cobra’s Curse. It’s a family spin coaster that is a lot of fun! If you didn’t know, besides beauty blogging, I also write for the theme park site, MiceChat (I’m their Busch Gardens correspondent). I got to preview Cobra’s Curse before it opened to the public and they shot a reverse POV of me riding it to capture my reactions while riding. Want to see? You got it! And please don’t laugh at my dorkiness too much.
And that’s it for my June favorites! What were some of your favorites this month?Tell me about them below in the comments.
As always, thank you all so much for reading! I’ll see you guys again on Wednesday with a new post! 🙂
