Hey guys! How’s your week going?
Today’s post is going to be a review of the ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil, so grab yourself a nice, cold beverage and let’s get going!
ELF came out with these brow pencils about a year ago, but up until recently, they were only available on their website. Now you can find them in stores. I got mine at CVS, but Target and Walmart has them as well.
These brow pencils retail for just $2 and come in three shades – Taupe, Neutral Brown and Deep Brown. You get 0.006 g of product, which is actually twice as much product than you get with the Anastasia Brow Wiz (for 10 times the cost).
On one end you have a pretty decent spoolie brush, and on the other end is a retractable pencil. The pencil starts as a very fine point, but after it’s used a bit, becomes more rounded. It’s thicker than the point on the Brow Wiz or the NYX Microbrow pencil. It’s also not as waxy as either.
I got the shade Neutral Brown, which is a really good match for my brows. Dark enough and neutral/cool enough. The pigmentation of the pencil is really good, so you need a light hand when using, otherwise you can go overboard. It does a good job filling my brows in and making them look natural and not drawn on, which is good because I have to actually draw on the inner 1/4 of my brows on both eyes (yep I’m a victim of overplucking – the hairs are growing back, but very slowly).
So how does this product hold up all day? Really well. It doesn’t claim to be waterproof, but if you set the pencil with brow powder and don’t touch your brows, this product will last all day. I’ve consistently gotten 12-15+ hours wear out of it.
I definitely recommend checking this brow pencil out if you come across it. The shade selection isn’t the best, but if you have darker brows. this could be something you’re looking for. If anything, for the super affordable $2 price point, it’s good to keep in your bag for travel or brow emergencies.
Ok that should so it for today! Have you tried this brow pencil out?
As always, thank you all so much for reading and your support. I’ll see you guys again on Friday with a new post! 🙂
