Hey guys! How was your weekend? Do anything fun?
Today’s post is going to be a quick review and swatches of the Run Boy Run Salvation palette by Makeup Revolution. Are you ready? Let’s go!
So if you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you’ll know I’ve become a pretty big fan of UK brand Makeup Revolution. They make some pretty good quality products at very affordable prices. I’ve already done reviews of their Girls On Film, Unicorns Unite, Ultimate Blush and Stripped & Bare palettes. And now here’s one more to add to the collection!
The Run Boy Run palette comes with 18 shadows (12 shimmer and 6 matte). The colors in this palette are more on the neutral side, but it has a few nice pops of color. All the colors are really pretty and perfect for fall/winter.
The shimmer shadows have pretty good pigmentation. The mattes in all the Makeup Revolution palettes I’ve tried so far are kind of weird. When swatching them on my arm, some don’t show up at all. But applying them to my eyes they actually show up, though some need more building up than others. Using a primer or base underneath always helps any shadow (both drugstore and high end) reach it’s potential.
Ok onto the swatches! All of these are swatched with no primer or base underneath. The shimmer shades are 2 swipes at the most, but the matte shades took some building up to show how they’re supposed to basically look.
The Run Boy Run palette costs $10 at Ulta (and you can use the $3.50 off $10 coupon Ulta usually has as Makeup Revolution is considered a drugstore brand). In the UK, you can find Makeup Revolution at Superdrug, plus there’s the Makeup Revolution website (they ship worldwide). Definitely check this palette out if you get a chance.
Ok that should do it for today! Have you tried this palette? If you haven’t, do you think you might? Sound off below in the comments.
As always, thank you all so much for reading! I hope the rest of your Monday is good to you and I’ll see you again Wednesday with a new post! 🙂
