Review & Swatches: Makeup Revolution Stripped & Bare Pro Looks Palette

Hey guys! How was your weekend? Do anything fun?

Saturday, I went to Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens with a friend. We had a lot of fun and got some good scares too!

Zombie shenanigans!

Zombie shenanigans!

Today’s post is going to be a review and swatches of the Stripped & Bare Pro Looks palette from Makeup Revolution.

I picked this palette up a couple weeks ago on a whim. I thought it looked pretty.

At first glance, you might think this palette is a dupe for the Too Faced Return of Sexy palette, as both palettes are laid out identical and both come with 15 shadows. However that’s not the case. The palettes have some similar shades but mostly different. Also, Return of Sexy is all shimmery shades and the Stripped & Bare palette has some matte shadows too instead of just all shimmer.

The colors in Stripped & Bare are very pretty. There’s a mix of neutrals and bold pops of color. The shimmer shades are very shimmery. Some even have glitter in them. This palette is great for a lot of dramatic/nighttime looks, but there’s enough color variety that you can create some nice daytime appropriate looks with this palette as well, thanks to the matte shades included.

Pigmentation is on par with other Makeup Revolution palettes. The shimmer shades swatch better than the matte ones, but they all apply to the eyes nicely and blend out well too.

My favorite shades in this palette are the matte mauve in the left section, the shimmery kind of rose gold and matte brown shades in the middle section and the shimmery silver blue in the right section.

So how about some swatches?

You can get the Stripped & Bare palette at Ulta in the States (you can use the $3.50 off $10 coupon as Makeup Revolution is considered a “drugstore brand”), at Superdrug in the UK or on the Makeup Revolution website (they ship worldwide).

Ok that should do it for today! As always thank you all so much for reading and your support. Have a good one and I’ll see you again Wednesday with a new post! 🙂

  1. That matte mauve shades stands out to me too! I love colours like that – they add such a nice definition to the eyes. what a great neutral palette – I like how it has a nice large mirror too! Thanks for swatching these! 😀
