Hi everyone! Happy Friday!
Today I’m going to share with you my favorites for the month of January! So get your preferred beverage of choice ready and let’s get going!
My first January favorite is the Revlon Colorstay 24 Hr Foundation. I did a review on this last week (which you can read here in case you missed it). This is the fist drugstore foundation I have liked in YEARS. Love the coverage and the staying power.
My next favorite is the Rimmel Wonder’Lash with Argan Oil waterproof mascara. I just reviewed this one earlier this week, so I won’t rehash much here other than I really love it and love how my lashes don’t feel stiff/crunchy and it doesn’t clump. This was probably the “sleeper hit” of the month for me.
Up next is the Prestige Cosmetics Total Intensity eye shadow in Hocus Pocus. I have been obsessed with this shadow all month, but it’s a tricky color to work with. But the color is so gorgeous it’s insane!
Next is the Scottish Fine Soaps Company Lavender & Lilac Body Butter. This product is so amazing and such a friggin’ steal at TJ Maxx for $4.99! I love the way it smells and how moisturizing it is on my skin. I’ve been using it almost every day this month and you only need a tiny bit so the jar still looks almost totally unused!
My next January favorite is a perfume by Love & Toast in the scent Candied Citron. I’d never heard of this brand before, but came across a display while at Ulta at the beginning of the month. They had all the Love & Toast small rollerball perfumes on sale so I smelled all the testers and liked Candied Citron the best. I feel it’s a great year-round scent that’s light and fun. I can’t stop smelling my wrists when I wear it!
Up next is the L’Oreal Magic Perfecting Base primer. This sucker has been such a game changer for me. I love the way it fills in/blurs my pores and provides the perfect matte base for my foundation.
Next is my Maybelline ColorSensational matte lipstick in Touch of Spice. I love how smooth and creamy this lipstick is. It doesn’t dry out my lips and is so pigmented!
And my final January favorite isn’t a beauty product but of the musical kind. I discovered a group from Australia called Atlas Genius and I’ve really been digging them. Apparently they’ve been around since 2009 and their first album came out in 2013, but I’d never heard of them until this month. They sound kind of 80s new wave influenced but with a modern twist.
And that does it for my favorites for January 2015! What were some of your favorites this month? Let me know below in the comments.
As always, thank you so much for reading and spending some time on my little corner of the interwebs. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and I’ll see you again Monday with a new post! 🙂
