Hello my beauties! Hope you had a fabulous weekend! For today’s post, I’m going to share some more easy beauty hacks, so grab that coffee and let’s get started!
Out of dry shampoo? Spray starch (like the kind you use on laundry) works just as well in a pinch!
Make your own leave-in conditioner by mixing your regular conditioner and water into a spay bottle (one part conditioner and 3 parts water).
Is your hair prone to frizz during the day and you don’t have any anti-frizz serum with you? Hand cream will work in a pinch! Just apply a little to your hands and then run them through your hair, but don’t overdo it or your hair will get greasy looking.
Is your hair prone to static/fly-aways? Tame your locks by running a dryer sheet over them.
Use your lip balm or Vaseline as a cuticle softener/treatment.
You’re in the shower and you go to shave your legs and… oh no you’re out of shaving cream! Guess what? Hair conditioner works great as a substitute!
You can use your lipstick as a cream blush – just remember to blend it really well!
Use a cotton swab and swipe your lashes with baby powder after applying a coat of mascara, then apply a second coat. The mascara will adhere to the powder and give your lashes a longer, fuller look!
Use Elmer’s Glue for a perfect manicure. Apply with a brush around your fingers and it’ll dry white, which is easy to see. Once you finish painting your nails, just rub/peel off the glue and those sloppy corners and edges with it, leaving you with perfectly painted digits.
You can also use Elmer’s Glue as a base coat when using glitter nail polish. When you finally take the polish off, you just peel right off instead of fighting with removing with traditional nail polish remover (glitter polish is the hardest to take off normally).
Make your own sea salt texturizing spray by mixing 20oz of seltzer water and a teaspoon of sea/rock salt in a spray bottle.
If you happen to burn yourself while using your curling iron or flat iron, use plain regular yogurt to help soothe the burned area. Just apply and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
Make your own body scrub my mixing your favorite body wash with raw brown sugar. The sugar acts as a skin exfoliator.
Use toothpaste to polish silver jewelry (tartar control works the best). To make your tarnished silver jewelry look new again, brush the toothpaste over your jewelry a few times, buff with a paper towel, and then rinse off any remaining toothpaste on your jewelry with warm water.
To get rid of those pesky under eye bags, place 2 metal spoons in the freezer overnight. Then in the morning, place the backs of the spoons under your eyes as close to the inner corners as possible. Next, while adding some pressure, drag the spoons along under your eyes toward the outer corners. The gliding movement will help drain the fluid that’s pooling underneath your eye, while the cold spoon will help minimize any puffiness (and the cold sensation will also help wake you up).
Make flaky lips smooth by applying a balm over your lips, and then exfoliating away any dead skin with a toothbrush.
Out of toner? Apple cider vinegar is a great substitute.
Apply eyelash glue to false lashes with the tip of a clean bobby pin.
Don’t have a lot of space in your bathroom? Buy a magnetic board to put up on the wall, then place magnets on the backs of your makeup and… instant makeup organization/storage! You can also use a magnetic strip to keep your bobby pins organized and in one place.
And there you have it! Hope some of these beauty hacks are helpful to you! Do you have a favorite beauty hack not listed here? Tell me about it below in the comments!
